God
Bless and Holiday Greetings from my wife and I at Anchored In Him. It doesn't
seem that it is the start of the most
festive time of the
year. Seems like it was just the beginning of our holiday season and that
time has passed us by quickly this year. Let us always remember to give thanks to God for what He has blessed us with.
Do we always thank God for all the blessings?
Sometimes we tend to take them for granted, just the little things of life that
He blesses us with.
As you read Be Thankful from an unknown author, think about the truth in the content.
Also there is a poem from Mary Ann Trott entitled I Thank You Lord. When you
read her poem think about how it applies to all of us. We all tend to become more
kind and loving during this special time of the year, but will or do we continue through
the year? The enemy is always lurking and waiting to trip us or for us to fall or fail.
Pray for our new Congressional Leaders and congress these leaders
of our nation as well as our local communities daily, but lets continue to
pray for them as prayer is our communication with God and He does answer our
prayers in His time not ours. America's declining moral values are evident in
recent judicial rulings that have taken away states rights that are given to the
states by the Constitution,
God help us! We are morally and spiritually broken.
Remember to pray for our Armed Forces as they
defend our freedoms guaranteed
by our constitution. Many of our Service Members are
serving overseas and lets all send them a thank you card for their sacrifices.
Many families will have an empty seat at the table due to deployments, but for others
the seat will remain empty as they were killed in action. May the Comforter
be with these families and loved ones.
As we start the Holidays let us remember to share with those
whom
are less fortunate. Listen to the words of the song Thank You Lord,
we have so much to thank Him for, remember to thank Him for giving His life for us. My friends we are truly blessed, give thanks to God for your
blessings and
trials, He is there with you through all the time.
Again God Bless you and your families during this special time of the
year. Let us always remember that all blessings comes from God. We hope to see you in
church, remember to bring your family and
a friend . . .
Heavenly Father as we come to
Your Throne of Grace on humble knees in prayer we thank You for the blessings
that You have and continue to bestow upon us. We thank You that Your Son Jesus
Christ died on the cross for our sins. Lord we know that without the shed blood
of Jesus Christ for our sins we would be headed to hell. Thank you Jesus for dieing for my sins.
Father forgive us of our sins and
sinful nature. Lord we ask a special blessing upon our Armed Forces, especially
those deployed not only in combat and hostile areas, but those in Africa. Bless
the families that are separated from a loved one during this special time of the
year. We ask that You place your protective armor around
them and shield them from all harm and disease. We ask that You give them the peace and
understanding that only You can give for those that have lost a loved one in war
or that you have called home this past year, may the Comforter be with them.
Heavenly Father we ask that You continue to keep Your Devine Hand upon us even
though we are unworthy of this. Dear Lord we know that we have a new congress
and that the fighting and bickering between the Executive and Legislative Branch
may continue, lead those elected as only You can. We ask that they come
to You on bended knees, humble with an open and receptive heart for Your
guidance and leadership. Father
we thank You for this love that You have given and shown us. Father be with our
missionaries and church planters where ever they may be, bless them as only You
can. Father be with those that are ill or shut in, may they feel Your presence
with them. Father remind us to remember those that are less fortunate and to
share with them as you have taught us in the Holy Bible. Be with us Lord and
continue to watch over and bless us in Jesus holy name we pray.
Amen
Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire,
if you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
during those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations
because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge
because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes
they will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary
because it means you've made a difference.
It is easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are
also thankful for the setbacks.
GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles
and they can become your blessing.
