Today the day of thanksgiving,
Reflecting on the many blessings, 
First be grateful to your heavenly Father 
All good blessings come from no other. 
 
Grateful for your families, 
Loved ones you hold dear, 
Memorable and precious moments,
To cherish throughout your years.
 
Beholden to special friends 
Always there to lend an ear 
Or a helping hand as need be
God gave them all to me. 
 
Appreciative of your country  
And brave soldiers of sorts 
Have dedicated their lives 
That are now off to war.
 
That's why at Thanksgiving 
I'll say a thankful prayer-- 
That God will keep us all safe 
Forever in His care.
