New Year With Gratitude ~ Anchored In Him

Through another Christmas we did coast
Yes, another year has drawn to a close.
Many new friends we have made,
And lost some dear ones along the way.
Some family members have gone on,
Still precious new babies have been born.
All in the works of God's infinite plan,
Yet, as humans it's hard to understand.

Another year older and closer to the day
When we too one day will be called away.
Enjoy life and each other while we can
We never know the day He'll call our name.
Make it known while still here on earth
Of God's love expressed in His word.
Continue to pray God's blessings will flow
Granting wisdom and spirit to grow.

Welcome in your New Year with gratitude
Continue in service with a Godly attitude.
Resolve to read His word each day
Continually seeking Him as you pray.
Draw on His strength as you walk with Him
Sharing His love as instructed in mission.
Remembering it's by His mercy and grace
That cleanses our sins and keeps us safe.

Happy New Year from my wife Linda and I at Anchored In Him, another year has come and gone.
The Holy Bible tells us 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Our life is like a book, we have 12 chapters a year with 365 pages in it or 366 on a leap year. Each year we create a new book.
The question we must ask ourself in all our books thus far have we lived for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?

Often we may become discouraged with the challenges of life, but remember God is always there.
How often do we fail to cast our burdens at His feet?
Listen to the words of the song beloved He is always there for us.
Do not become discouraged God has promised us that we have a mansion awaiting us.
It is hard to really comprehend what our mansion will be like!
Streets of gold, walls of jasper, no heartache or tears. The list we
could write would be something that each of us would write about.
As we begin to write a page in our book this year we need to keep the faith and hold onto His hand,
He has promised that He will never forsake or leave us!
What a comforting thought as we go through life and write our books.
Sadly many do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and struggle with life in ways that are unimaginable, drugs, alcohol, ruined relationships, broken marraiages and the list is never ending.
We need to make it a priority in our walk with the Lord to lead someone that is lost to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
As I close these couple of paragraphs I would like to thank all of our subscribers for their support in prayer and emails.
As you go into the New Year remember that none of us are promised tomorrow in the writing of pages in the chapters for our yearly book.

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John 1:1-4;14

In the upcoming New Year, if you want it to be happy, follow the Word - Jesus Christ, the Word. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.
I challenge you to ask a friend to church, witness to the lost and pray for the lost.

We hope to see you in church and make it a priority in your life to be in church
whenever the doors are open, blessings await all of us when our souls are fed.
Have a Happy and Blessed New Year in 2019, may your health be great and may God bless
you abundantly.

The end of a year and beginning of another is an opportunity for a fresh start. What might God be making new in your life?
