Christmas 2018 Welcome Page ~ Anchored In Him

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." John 3:16,17

"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." 1 John 4:10

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." Matthew 1:23

"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins." Matthew 1:21

"And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn." Luke 2:6,7

We at Anchored In Him would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from our family to you and yours.
As you read the above scriptures think about what the Holy Bible is really telling us, the Who, the What, the Why and the Where. The Who was God, the What is that He (God) gave His only Son, the Why was that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life and the Where was in a manger as there was no room at the inn.

In today's world that we live in, think of how many do not know or understand the true meaning of Christmas. Generally many Americans think that Christmas is about shopping and giving gifts. The question we must ask ourself is simple, have I shared with others what Christmas is really about? Chirst's birth whether you realize it or not was over shadowed by the cross. You say it was not over shadowed, beloved read again 1 John 4:10 you will see the word propitiation which means atonement or payment. Jesus Christ was sent to this world to pay for mankinds sin. We were all born as sinners, but Jesus paid the price for our sins. The greatest gift that you can receive today is the gift of salvation, it is free for the asking, my wife and I have. Won't you ask Christ to come into your life today? It cost you nothing, but it cost God everything, His only begotten Son.

Many will attend Christmas Eve services thoughout the world, but how many are going to renew what I call "fire insurance", only attending on Christmas and Easter. Don't gamble on salvation as we are told in the Holy Bible that Jesus Christ shall return. Is your name written in the Lamb's Book of Life? None of us are promised tomorrow and we don't know when Christ will return to earth. If not it is never too late as the only unforgiveable sin is that of rejection of Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. If you would like more information on how to receive the greatest gift ever to mankind you may contact us or attend a New Testament Bible believing and preaching church. Most Independent Fundametal Baptist or Southern Baptist are.
Again have a Blessed and Merry Christmas from Linda and I. God Bless my friends, we hope to see you in church.

Without Jesus, salvation and spiritual growth are both gifts beyond our reach . . .
