To the men and women who will be in Iraq
this Thanksgiving Day.
The people of America, remember you in every way
I know you have little ones, back here at home
I see you in the desert, sleeping in sand, all alone
It must be difficult to learn a language not your own
To keep the peace in Iraq, is hard, when those you love
are in a land so far away
I feel your sadness on this Thanksgiving Day.
You are young men and woman
Teaching freedom is the way America was made
How do you show people, who are so afraid?
When you walk with boots, that fill with sand
But the Lord is still there with you in a Muslim land.
I will set a place at the table, this Thanksgiving Day
hoping you will come back soon
maybe on Christmas Day.

and

our
Armed
Forces
you are in our prayers daily. May God watch over and comfort you.
Father, as we come to you in prayer we ask you as a sinful nation to forgive us where we have failed you in so many ways. We ask that
that You continue to keep Your hand of protection and blessing upon
us. As there is a new leadership coming into power in our nation we
ask for their salvation. Father may everything that the leaders of
our great nation do on humble bended knees before You. Father we ask that
You comfort the families that have lost loved ones through out the past year provide them with only the comfort that You can give.
Heavenly Father we thank you for all of the blessings that You have given to us although we are unworthy of them. Father watch over our missionaries
not only during this special time of the year, but though out the year.
We ask Father that we be ever mindful that we are nothing without Your grace and mercies.
Lord we thank you for the bountiful blessings that
only
You
have
and
bestow
upon
us.
There
is
not
one
of
us
alive
today
that
can
not
think
of
or
thank
you
for
the
blessings.
Forgive
us
when
we
whine
as
to
what
we
ask
for
and
in
prayer
that
we
do
not
receive.
Often
when
we
pray;
we
pray
for
things
that
You
know
we
want
or
do
not
need
and
You
do
not
answer
the
prayer.
To
many
times
we
fail
to
realize
the
reason
You
do
not
answer
that
prayer
request
is
that
You
have
something
bigger
and
better
for
us.
We
pray
for
crumbs
when
You
can
provide
all
of
it.
Let
us
always
remember
that
just
the
gift
of
life
is
a
blessing
and
that
you
so
willingly
gave
Your
Son
to
die
for
our
sins.
Thank
you
Jesus
for
dieing
for
our
sins.
We ask all these things in Jesus holy name.
