The lighthouse still stands high above the sea
For many years a guiding light for ships to see
A welcome beacon showing them the way
Keeping many ships from going astray.


The lighthouse still stands the mighty shocks
Of strong waves beating against the rocks
And all the captains that sailed the sea
That flashing light they were happy to see.

 
As the evening shadows darken
And the sun has gone down to rest
The old lighthouse is still shining
From the north, east, south and west.

 
Jesus is the lighthouse for the world today
Ask and He will shine His light on your pathway
His light will comfort you in times of despair
And you will know that He does care.

  
Let Jesus be your guiding light from on high
His beacon shines bright across the sky
Accept Jesus as the lighthouse on the shore
And keep His light shining forevermore.
