Homeless ~ Anchored In Him

Who Am I? Your sister or brother, your
mother or father, your daughter or your son.
I am homeless. Black or white, red or
brown, I walk the streets all day looking
just to make it. Through the day people look
at me and stand back to their friends and
talk about me, about how I look and how I
smell, never knowing the real person that is
inside of me. As you watch your TV and
play your tapes, I try to stay warm on very
cold days. When you are warm in your
home, I am homeless. As you sleep at night
in your nice warm bed I am trying to sleep
anywhere I can: rooftops and doorways,
park benches and so on.

Author Known Only To God

Often we see the homeless or poor,
the Holy Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 15:11
"There will always be poor people in the land.
Therefore I command you to be open handed
toward your brothers and toward the poor
and needy in your land."
Do you help those less fortunate than what
God has blessed you with? We all realize
that there are those who are scam artist,
but many suffer from mental illness, alcohol
or drug abuse problems. You see many a
rich men are separated from Jesus Christ
because they did not believe in Him. How
about you my friend do you know where
you will spend eternity. Better yet if you
have been saved by the shed blood of
Jesus Christ have you shared the greatest
wetitleh and treasure of all?

One measure of our likeness to Christ is our sensitivity to the suffering of others . . .
