You said you were leaving
you said you'd be back
I watched as you boarded
the plane to Iraq.
You said, "Please do not worry
or weep for me, I'm going to
fight for our liberty."
I saw the pride in your smile
the sparkle in your eyes
and the confidence in your shoulders
as you said goodbye.
This is our country in whom I am proud
and no one will stop me
from saying it out loud.
We're all different races, colors
and denominations,
but we become one in this great Nation.
I'll do what it takes, I'll fight to the end
even my life give to defend
the colors of our flag the Red, White and Blue
that stand for honor and freedom
for me and for you.
So don't be heart broken if I don't return
I pray that by this you will have learned,
the value of our Country and the Red, White and Blue
one Nation under God
Powerful through and through.
Please pray for our troops daily.
So do not fear for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;
yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
