Ten
years ago the
United States and
the world changed
forever. That
Sunday following
911 Church's were
over flowing with
people, men and
women openly wept
and prayed for
America, the
victims and their
families. This
Sunday there will
be no Chaplin's or
clergy as well as
prayer and first
responders at the
ceremony in New
York city. Mayor
Bloomberg decided
that God was not
wanted or welcome
to this event, but
politicians from
Washing DC and
elsewhere were
invited. God help
us as a nation!
As one of the
first responders
stated "this
is the time to put
our swords
down".
Terrorist
hijacked airplanes
and murdered
innocent victims.
Families and
life's were
changed forever.
Some freedoms that
we once took for
granted are now
limited or
scrutinized by
governments at all
levels. The
terrorist
succeeded in
placing fear in
Americans daily
life, but we are
slowly eradicating
these evil people.
The Global War on
Terror has and is
costly in life's
and dollars, but
the price for
freedom has always
been paid for in
blood. The brave
men and women of
our Armed Forces
are fighting in
various locations
of the world with
success and will
win if the
politicians stay
out of the fight.
Children that are
in school are now
taught about 911,
many not even
born, problem is
they are not being
told or taught the
truth "an
airplane crashed
into the
building".
Wrong wrong wrong,
these planes were
flown by extremists
into these
buildings. Teachers
need to teach the
truth not what is
politically
correct!
Many Church's
around our great
nation are
planning special a
memorial service
this Sunday with
larger than normal
crowds, notice I
said crowd, not
congregation. We
need to pray for
America, we have
turned our backs
on God. Pray for
the healing of our
nation, but more
importantly pray
for a great
revival to sweep
our land and that
we would become
"One Nation
Under God".
I have placed
below some verses
of scripture,
think about them
as you read them.
Psalm
25:2
O
my God, I trust in
thee: let me not
be ashamed,
let not mine
enemies triumph
over me.
Psalm
25:1-3
Psalm
119:114
Thou art my hiding
place and my shield:
I hope in thy
word.
Psalm
119:113-115
Psalm
147:3
He
healeth the broken
in heart, and
bindeth up their wounds.
Psalm
147:2-4
Deuteronomy
8:20
As
the nations
which the LORD
destroyeth before
your face, so
shall ye perish;
because ye would
not be obedient
unto the voice of
the LORD your God.
Psalm
33:12
Blessed
is the nation
whose God is the
LORD; and the
people whom he
hath chosen for
his own
inheritance.
Heavenly
Father as we come
to you on humble
bowed knees be
with us as we
remember the
victims families
of the Global War
On Terror, forgive
us as a sinful
nation. We have
turned our backs
on You, God we
know that as
individuals and a
nation we need to
turn to You and
not to government
or man, both will
fail us. Father it
is our prayer that
the Comforter be
with the families
of the members of
our brave men and
women of our Armed
Forces who paid
the ultimate
sacrifices in
defense of our
nation and for
what we stand for.
We know that we
are not a perfect
nation, but many
want what we have
and that is
freedom; freedom
from persecution.
Many of the
families will
attend a memorial
service or go to
the cemetery. Give
them the peace and
understanding as
only You can. Lord
we ask that You
continue to bless
us, often we take
your blessings for
granted, forgive
us when we do, we
are weak in the
flesh. Father we
ask that You not
only protect our
Armed Forces, but
watch over our
nation, guide and
protect us from
harm and evil.
Father may our
leaders come to
you humbly on
their knees in
prayer seeking
wisdom and
guidance everyday.
Father be with the
families on this
day as many
children only have
memories of a
mother or father
that perished on
that horrific day.
Heavenly
Father we know
that we need to be
a Godly nation
not politically
correct and seek
You, lead us that
way.
It is our prayer
that those that have not
come to know Jesus
Christ as their
personal Savior
would do so, we
ask all of these
things in Jesus
holy name.
Amen
