We Have Faith In God ~ Anchored In Him

Acts 14: 26-28

And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they
had been recommended to the grace of God for
the work which they fulfilled.

And when they were come, and had gathered the
church together, they rehearsed all that God had
done with them, and how he had opened the door
of faith unto the Gentiles.

And there they abode long time with the disciples.

There are some misconceptions about faith in God and that we have it when things are all figured out.

Or that the children of God always know what he's doing and they're courageous with no glimmer of doubt.

But the truth of the matter is really the opposite for we live daily by faith through it all; not knowing all His plans or purposes for everything or the reasons when our plans might stall.

We have faith when God leads us through seasons of discouragement that are longer than we ever dreamed.

We have faith when the 'victory' is snatched from our grip when success was a sure thing, it seemed.

We have faith when God calls us to give unto others when we're not rich, without extra to spend.

We have faith when the bills are stacked high in the mailbox day after day . . . without end.

We have faith in when our health isn't very good at all and doctors can only guess what to do.

We have faith when we're rejected for following Christ and living for what's righteous and true.

We have faith when we raise a child with a disability or our parents become feeble or ill.

We have faith when we pray . . . and God gives us the opposite because He's holy and works through His will.

We have faith when God calls us to uncharted places or to serve Him in sacrificial ways.

We have faith when life falls apart at the seams and we weep through the sacrifice of praise.

We have faith through the many, clouded mysteries of life because nothing is unknown from His sight.

He's the faithful, loving Father who never leaves his children as He carries us from morning to night.
