We
at
Anchored
In Him would
like to
extend Seasons
Greetings
and
Happy
Holidays
from our
family
to you
and yours.
As we
approach
the most
joyous
time of
the year
I would
like for
you to
ponder
on
Christmas.
For a
moment
take
Christ
out of
Christmas
and all
you have
is mas.
If you
look up
the word
mas you
will
find a
few
trivial
meanings
from
carnival
to
masculine
depending
on the
country.
But Christmas
means a
Christian
holiday
celebrating
the
birth of
Christ.
You see
without
Christ
their is
no
Christmas
and the
real
reason
for the
season
is Jesus
Christ.
There
were
people
who
missed
Christ
birth
the
first
time,
the
innkeeper,
Luke 2:7and
she gave
birth to
her
firstborn,
a son.
She
wrapped
him in
cloths
and
placed
him in a
manger,
because
there
was no
room for
them in
the inn.
Another
who
missed
our Savior's
birth
was King
Herod
Matthew
2:3
When
King
Herod
heard
this he
was
disturbed,
and all
Jerusalem
with
him.
The
Chief
Priests
and
Scribes
Matthew
2:4
When
he had
called
together
all the
people's
chief
priests
and
teachers
of the
law, he
asked
them
where
the
Christ
or
Messiah
was
to be
born.
In Luke
4:22
All
spoke
well
of him
and
were
amazed
at the
gracious
words
that
came
from
his
lips.
"Isn't
this
Joseph's
son?"
they
asked.
(Whole
Chapter:
Luke
4 In
context:
Luke
4:21-23)
You may
be
wondering
what
they
missed.
They
missed
the
Savior;
Luke 2:11
Today
in the
town of
David a
Savior
has been
born to
you; he
is
Christ
the
Lord.
In Luke
2:14
Glory to
God in
the
highest
and on
earth
peace to
men on
whom his
favor
rests.
The ones
who
missed
Him the
first
time
also
missed
worship
for in
Matthew
2:9
After
they had
heard
the
king,
they
went on
their
way, and
the star
they had
seen in
the east
went
ahead of
them
until it
stopped
over the
place
where
the
child
was. 10When
they saw
the
star,
they
were
overjoyed.
11On
coming
to the
house,
they saw
the
child
with his
mother
Mary,
and they
bowed
down and
worshiped
him.
Then
they
opened
their
treasures
and
presented
him with
gifts of
gold and
of
incense
and of
myrrh.
The
people
who
missed
Jesus
birth
the
first
time
missed
above
all True
Joy for
the Holy
bible
tells us
in Luke
2:15
When
the
angels
had left
them and
gone
into
heaven,
the
shepherds
said to
one
another,
"Let's
go to
Bethlehem
and see
this
thing
that has
happened,
which
the Lord
has told
us
about."
16So
they
hurried
off and
found
Mary and
Joseph,
and the
baby,
who was
lying in
the
manger. 17When
they had
seen
him,
they
spread
the word
concerning
what had
been
told
them
about
this
child, 18and
all who
heard it
were
amazed
at what
the
shepherds
said to
them. 19But
Mary
treasured
up all
these
things
and
pondered
them in
her
heart. 20The
shepherds
returned,
glorifying
and
praising
God for
all the
things
they had
heard
and
seen,
which
were
just as
they had
been
told.
So you
see my
friends many
missed
the
birth of
our
Savior
Jesus
Christ
the
first
time,
the
question
to you
is very
simple,
will you
be part
of His
Kingdom
on His
second
coming?
As we
all
hurry
through
the
Christmas
holiday
season
we tend
to
forget
the real
and true
meaning
of
Christmas.
Remember
He is
the
reason
for the
season.
If you
do not
know Him
or do
not have
a
personal
relationship
with
Jesus
Christ
this
would be
your
best
gift in
your
life.
If you
don't
believe
me who
do you
know
that is
willing
to lay
down
their
life for
you as
He did
for all
of us at
Calvary.
