Anchored In Him ~ 2020 Christmas Welcome

Merry Christmas and Seasons Greetings from Linda and I at Anchored In Him, our prayer is that blessings of the Lord be upon you during this most festive time of the year.

As we know that this year has and is a trying year for us, but remember that God is still on the throne. We need to remember it is a time for giving, sharing and being thankful for everything that God has blessed us with! I want to ask you this question, have you truly thanked God for everything this includes those days that you wonder if you will make it through this valley. God has a plan for our lives. Pray that He will lead you in it and reveal it in His time not yours.

We are reminded of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Christmas is about Jesus! Jesus came to this Earth to offer his life as a perfect gift so we could experience eternal life through Him. Let us remember that Christmas should be a time for giving to others.

Christ birth was prophesied in Isaiah 9:6 "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

Concentrate on the two words in the above verse "Mighty God", we serve a Mighty God and there is nothing to great for Him to do. Often we want everything right now and God knows our needs and wants. He always provides for our needs.

The greatest gift to mankind has and is Jesus Christ, through
Him we can have eternal life in heaven. The gift that God gave
mankind is in the Holy bible John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

So in closing as you read the writing below from our
Sister-In-Christ Lorraine Ezell, my question to you is simple,
how many do we know that needs the gift of salvation? It is
and was free to us, but was costly to Jesus Christ, He died on
an old rugged cross for that gift. Sadly many have and will
continue to reject the gift of salvation, missing the true
meaning of Christmas. Share the gift that you have, that's
the love of Christ and what He has done for you.

"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn." Luke 2:7 "She brought forth". Mary brought forth the Son of God that was placed inside her womb by the Holy Spirit. God never intended for her to carry the baby inside of her for the rest of her life. God's intention was for her to bring it into the world. When God places something inside of us, He never intends for us to keep it "locked up" inside of us either. He intends for us to "bring it forth".
When God places His salvation in our lives, we are to share it with others. He never intended for us to "keep it to ourselves". We are to witness to others about the glorious goodness of God in transforming our lives and giving us forgiveness and eternal life. When He places His Holy Spirit within us, we are to "bring it forth" by releasing the Spirit to do His work through us. When He places His joy within us, we aren't to keep it to ourselves, we are to share that joy with others so that they can taste and see how truly wonderful He is. It's this way with any blessing that God sends our way. It's this way with any gift He bestows upon us. He intends for us to "bring it forth" to reach the world for His glory. The baby that was placed in Mary's womb wasn't for her only - He was for the world. He was carried by her but given for others. These wonderful gifts that God has given us are "carried" by us, but for the purpose of reaching others and touching their lives for Christ. Are you keeping the grace that God has bestowed upon you to yourself or are you sharing it with others? Is it "locked up" inside of you so that no one can be touched by it? If so, it's time for you to "bring it forth".
God intends for you to bring forth the gifts that He has given you and share them with others. For further reading: Luke 2:17 Isaiah 43:10 Matthew 10:8 Luke 4:18
