The old rugged cross stained with blood so divine
Is still a wonderous beauty to me,
although it's beauty was not seen by the world,
I see the beauty of the one who died to set me free.

His amazing grace which was given,
is the reason we are living,
the power of His sacrifice on the cross,
means our sins have been forgiven.

The pain and agony which He willingly bore
was the weight of the world's sins on the cross.
Upon his shoulders he willingly carried them,
to be crucified and pay sin's cost.

Yes, Jesus is our reason for living.
He is our everything.
Because of His death and resurrection,
our hearts can now joyfully sing.

The tomb is empty now
death could not hold Him in the grave.
Jesus lives on high forever
the message of salvation . . . is still "JESUS SAVES!"

"Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised."

Saved by His grace, amazed in His presence . . . humbled by His great love.
