A pebble on a beach,
lost in the sand,
Looking for answers,
not found in man.

Wandering around,
looking about,
Life was fading,
Smothered in doubt.

But who was I?
That You Lord would seek,
A lost soul like me,
Not finding relief.

I scoffed with the crowds,
laughed with the best,
All the while, you were trying
to bring me true rest!

I sat in the church pews,
not hearing a word,
Walked out the door,
And forgot what I heard!

Who was I Lord?
that you would forgive,
all of my sins,
With the life that I lived?

You sought after me,
Opened my blind eyes,
Gave me New Life,
I had never realized.

You walked those shores
of Galilee,
Crowds following closely
after Thee!

You spent Your years,
teaching us,
That in God Almighty,
we must put our trust.

You gave Your life,
one dark dreary day,
Men gathered around
Mockers on display!

But The earth shook,
Curtain torn,
Your work was finished,
No longer shorn!

Who was I dear Lord?
That you would die for me?
And walk that long road
to Calvary?

What a Mighty God
we serve,
Came to this earth
To do what we did not deserve!

You died for us,
and took our place,
One by one,
We must seek Your face!

Lord who was I,
but a lost lonely soul,
You came to this earth
to make me whole!
